Last 2 days of sweat

Wed I hit the gym. For the first time I did my cicuit workout before my cardio. It was nice because it was a change, but other than that no big difference.

Thurs I skipped the gym and took Karate with my daughter. She was hoping to take a belt test this month but she missed to much over the summer to be invited to test.

I’m reading “Outliers” right now. Good book so far. Talks about what makes an exceptional person – smarts, abilities, opportunities, timing, etc.

Alice PR’ed her 5k today. Broke 24 mins. First JV girl from her school to cross the finish, 11th overall. Unfortuantely, the top 10 got ribbons, so she missed out on that. But I hope she is focusing on the PR like I am.

I got “The 30 minute fitness solution: a 4-step plan for women of all ages” from the library today. I haven’t cracked it open yet, but I’ll keep you posted.

Tonight’s yummy, fast, filling dinner: mostaccioli. Pasta, red sauce, mozzerella cheese, we add ground beef — I made it last night and it sat in the fridge and baked it up tonight. Yum! Also good with mushrooms & brocolli added.

  1. congrats to alice and the pr! 11th place is still excellent, hope she’s not too bummed about just missing out and uses it to push even harder.

    i’ve got a long way to go to get in my 10,000 hours to become an outlying runner. sigh. :)
