I swear I’ve been working out, just not blogging. Here’s what I’ve been up to.
Monday: a little treadmill cardio, free weights, a lot of ab work. Wendy came back from her trip, so I went to pick her up and we got some much needed cuddle time together. Tuesday is her karate night, so I went with her and we worked on Forms 1, 2 and 3.
It’s like a dance – focused but fun.
I came home and did pushups with Alice. I started week 4 day 1 which is 18…22…16…16…25. But it was too hard for me. I did 18 and couldn’t do the 22. (But I did 20.) So I jumped back to day 3 of week 3 which is 16…21…15…15…21.
All in all, I managed: 18…20…15…15…21. Not too shabby. Alice did a great job on her week 1 day 3.
4…5…4…4…5.
Today I braved the disgusting weather for a run outside. It’s been almost a month since I’ve run outside. Proof that I am NOT a running addict by any means. I had to reroute where I wanted to go when I encountered some construction. I think I only hit 2 miles based on how I felt at the end. Then I did some Yoga from my new present, “The Athlete’s Pocket Guide to Yoga.” I did plank, side plank, reverse plank and reclining twists for core; an interlaced finer series to open my chest; a head to knee sequence to stretch my hips and legs a bit; closed with some eye yoga I learned from Haris and hung over in cobblers pose for about 2 minutes.
I showered, got ready for work, and then made a green monster smoothie. Today’s was Vanilla fat free SFF yogurt, a handful of spinach and most of a nectarine with a dash of cinnamon. It didn’t all fit in my cup, so I left some sitting in the blender. Alice woke up, went in the kitchen for breakfast, saw the green monster and asked, “Did somebody puke in the blender?” HA!
Off to work…have a fabulous day!
