My family was hungry all weekend. What’s up with that? Lots of eating going on in our house. I finally made kasha (buckwheat) to fill up. Cheap and fast and tasty. My husband made choc chip oatmeal cookies tonight, too. DD1 requested shrimp this week one night for dinner, so I made a fast scampi and DD2 said, “That was delightful!”

Today’s workout:
1 mile threshold run, 10 mins elliptical (I know that’s whimpy cardio but it was a full body circuit day)
walking lunges 10 lb weight, lunges with a twist 10 lb weight, squats with band, 15 pushups, press and fly on BOSU with 15 lbs each hand, bicep curls 15 lbs, 1 leg side planks 20 sec each side, back extension on ball (one set), lots of ab stuff – most with 8 lb med ball and a mat while balancing on my tailbone. It’s all a blur because it was 14 hrs ago. The 6 more mins of cardio to finish with a high heart rate. Just cuz.
Tomorrow night I get to learn all about our 7th grade curriculum at Back to School night. I’m excited for that. Maybe I can teach the science teacher that my daughter’s name isn’t Gabrielle. (Not even close, it’s Alice). Some years I’ll run over to my younger daughter’s teachers to listen for a bit, but I figured we already did it all last year, and this year they are in different buildings so it will be more difficult. Poor DD2…
