Week 16, run 2

So after my run Sunday night I was hurting. I told Brian, “If I felt like this every time I ran, I wouldn’t run.”
Plus, I had eaten junk food for my daughter’s birthday for the first time in a while. My tummy didn’t like that!!

So that was Sun night. Monday was an off day. Tues I did a bit of interval work on the treadmill at the gym and a full body weight workout. Today was my run – last one before the 5k on Saturday!

My intial reaction is – Man it’s HOT! It was 8:30am, and by the end of mile 2 I was HOT!
Here’s how it went: First mile about 10 mins, no walking. 2nd mile about 12 mins, no walking. 3rd mile started with 20 sec walk break, my face was so flushed! Ran a couple blocks and then walked and ran on/off until the end. I did 33 mins just shy of 3 miles, and I’m hoping to do a 33 min 5k so I’m hoping the adrenaline of the run helps me with that!

Other than that, felt great. Took a while to cool down. Gotta love Florida!
