Sunday: gym workout. I hardly ever go to the gym on Sunday, but Brian was going so it got me off the couch. Did some cardio, full body weight workout, and a bit more cardio.
Monday: a lot like Sunday, actually. I tried to work whatever I missed on Sunday (I often forget shoulders and calves) and then repeated some muscle groups but with different exercises.
Tuesday: In the morning I went to the park thinking I would just walk a little since I had karate that night. After walking a mile I decided to run a 2nd mile as fast as I possibly could. I think I actually got 3/4 mile in before I was panting too heavily. It was unexpected fun though. A good day to have borrowed Brian’s Garmin. In the evening we went to karate and practiced striking and blocking with bamboo sticks.
Wednesday: I scrubbed the kids’ bathroom from top to bottom and washed the hall floor.
Thursday: 3 mile morning run with Brian by my side offering a few pointers. “Pretend you are a gunslinger and you keep reaching for pistols at your belt. That’s where your hands should stay.” “Keep your footfalls quiet like you are a catburglar.” I guess I’m supposed to be Lara Craft when I run.
Thursday night was karate. More sticks. DD2 was invited to test for yellow belt next week! She’s been working for that since May.
Friday: I skipped core class. I hardly ever do. But we’re going to DD1′s XC meet at Disney in 103 degree weather and I thought I better save up for that. It’s going to be a late night too. Hopefully with some Rainforest Cafe thrown in.
