What I ate today

I wanted to have a banana with peanut butter for breakfast, but when I started cutting the banana it wasn’t ripe enough yet. So I put those in a brown paper bag in the dark dining room and had a bowl of Peanut Butter Bumpers. I think I forgot to have a drink. It was a very lazy morning that involved extra sleeping and reading before noon.

For lunch I reheated leftover spaghetti, added some carrots – and water.

We were at a friend’s house this afternoon and snack was a few apple slices – only it turns out they were Grapple slices. Apples flavored to taste like grapes. But not like actual grapes, like that grape flavor you would expect from grape soda. The website says: “The apple takes on no additional sugars or calories. They are not genetically altered in any way. The apple is as healthy as ever but now has the new exciting grape flavor.” They leave your kitchen with a grape-y scent. And I think I may have snuck 2 Special Dark miniatures from her bowl. Which I regreted. I’m not used to sugar in my chocolate anymore. And we had water all aroundin beautiful aqua glasses.

For dinner we had green beans, a flavored cous cous and lemon butter tilapia in white wine sauce. While Brian cooked the fish I prepared lunch for tomorrow – I put carrots, celery and green onions in a mini chopper till they were uber tiny and added them into egg salad with 4 hard boiled eggs, pepper, a dash of mustard, some mayo and a tiny bit of salt because my daughter has to have salt on her eggs so now I can honestly tell her it’s in there.

I don’t think I had enough water or calories today – but that’s Sunday for me.
